Welcome to the Logs: Pushing Buttons IRL and On Stream
If you’ve stumbled in here from Twitch chat, welcome to the new headquarters. If you’re new entirely, pull up a chair.
I’m CabinetTerror.
For a while now, I’ve wanted a space that lasts longer than a Twitch VOD—a place to document the "how-to" behind the stream and the adventures that happen when I step away from the desk. That’s what The CabinetTerror Logs is all about.
The Guy Behind the Screen
Depending on when you catch me, I wear a few different hats.
By day, I’m a professional travel agent, coordinating epic getaways and scouting destinations. Before that, in a past life, I was turning wrenches on Navy jets. That background gave me a serious, incurable itch for understanding exactly how things work—and if they don't work, how to build something better.
When the sun goes down, I’m live on Twitch.
Why This Blog?
This blog is where those worlds collide. It’s the intersection of soldering irons and boarding passes.
I realized that my stream isn't just about the games; it's about the entire experience. Sometimes that experience is building a complex, custom LED matrix from scratch just so chat can flash rainbow text at me. Other times, it’s packing up the gear and taking the whole show IRL to the middle of the Vegas Strip.
This blog is the documentation of those projects.
What You’ll Find Here
I’m holding nothing back here. If I build it, I’m sharing the blueprints. If I travel there, I’m sharing the itinerary.
Here is what you can expect from The CabinetTerror Logs:
- The Tech Builds: Deep dives into stream upgrades. I’m talking complete parts lists, the exact code I used, soldering photos, and the troubleshooting headaches I ran into so you don't have to.
- IRL Behind-the-Scenes: How do you keep a stream live and high-quality while walking around a busy city? I’ll break down my mobile rig, gear logistics, and the reality of streaming in the wild.
- Travel Diaries: The cool spots, the hidden gems, and the view from a travel agent’s perspective when the stream camera finally turns off.
This isn't just a portfolio; it's a workshop log. Feel free to poke around, steal my code for your own setup, and get inspired for your next trip.
Thanks for logging on. Now, let's build something cool.
